Clyde R. Pfaff

Pfaff of Ste. Genevieve died on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center. He was 93 years old.He was born February 6, 1925, in Ste. Genevieve, a son of William J. Pfaff and Gladys (Haug) Pfaff.He was married to Alvina C (Grither) Pfaff on June 27, 1950, and she survives in Ste. Genevieve.In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons, Robert Pfaff and his wife Bev of Ste. Genevieve, John Pfaff and his wife Bev of Bloomsdale, Greg Pfaff of Bloomsdale, Tom Pfaff and his wife Keri of Ste. Genevieve, Kenny Pfaff and his wife Julie of Ste. Genevieve, Jason Pfaff and his wife Richelle of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters, Theresa Basler of Ste. Genevieve, Patty (Mrs. Keith) Gatzmeyer of Topeka, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Pfaff of Ste. Genevieve, Dorothy (Mrs. Bernard) Kertz of Huntsville, Missouri; 22 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Marion Pfaff; and two brothers, Edmund Pfaff and Donald Pfaff.He was a member of the Church of Ste. Genevieve and VFW Post 2210. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and model railroading.Visitation was to be 8 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Funeral services were to be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Monsignor Jeffrey Knight and Deacon Jim Basler were to officiate. Burial was to be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve with graveside military services performed by VFW Post 2210. Basler Funeral Home handled the arrangements.Memorials may be made to Valle Schools Foundation or the Church of Ste. Genevieve. (Ste. Genevieve Herald)
